2018 Ag Breakfast – March 21st
The Chamber’s Ag Breakfast is set for 7AM on Wednesday, March 21 in the All Seasons Building at the North Iowa Events Center. This annual appreciation event is attended by 400-500 people, bringing together farm and business for an early morning breakfast hosted and served by the Agribusiness Committee.
The 2018 Ag Breakfast will feature keynote speaker, Marji Guyler-Alaniz, President and Founder of FarmHer. Marji is a lifetime Iowan and lover of photography. Through FarmHer, she is revitalizing the image of agriculture by showing the female side of farming, creating community amongst women in agriculture, and reaching out to young women interested in agriculture. In recent years, women are rising to the forefront of agriculture in many ways: as owner/operators, landowners, workers, mentors and much more.
Marji’s work for FarmHer has been featured in an expanse of arenas ranging from an Emmy-winning documentary and award-winning weekly television show on RFD-TV, to USDA’s National Ag Day Celebration and Successful Farming magazine.
Tickets are available in books of 8 for $75 dollars for Chamber members, and $88 for non-members. You can purchase individual tickets for $11 each.
If you know a farmer or farming family that goes above and beyond, nominate them for the KGLO Farmer of the Year Award!
