Germany – Martin Luther Reformation Trip

March 13-21, 2018

Join the Chamber on an adventure to Germany in partnership with Mason City’s Trinity Lutheran Church and other North Iowa churches for a 500th Anniversary Reformation Trip in spring of 2018! Find yourself in the same churches, buildings, and streets where the revolutionary Martin Luther once stood.

Travel throughout Germany visiting the places where Luther lived, studied, worked, and preached. See the famous landmarks in Berlin, including Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, and Schiller Theater. Visit the university city of Wittenburg, Luther’s homes, the Augustinian Monastery where he studied, and Wartburg Castle where he translated the Bible. Other key Luther stops include the cities of Torgau, Leipzig, Marburg, and Worms.

This educational itinerary is a great way to learn more about Luther and the Reformation, while touring the beautiful countryside of Germany! You may even decide to extend your stay to check out southern Germany, home to the famous Heidelberg and Neuschwanstein Castles, as well as the walled city of Oberammergau.
