The North Iowa Band Festival Committee has decided that candy and other goods may be distributed for the 83rd North Iowa Band Festival parade.
After canceling the parade in 2020 for the first time since World War II, the committee moved forward with the annual Memorial Day Weekend celebration in 2021. As a precautionary measure, entries were asked not to distribute candy or other items. Now, in 2022, the committee is excited to return to the beloved tradition that the community looks forward to each year.
The committee has been meeting monthly to plan another successful North Iowa Band Festival, which will take place May 26-30, 2022 in downtown Mason City. Entertainment and daily schedules are set to be announced in the coming weeks. The theme for the 83rd North Iowa Band Festival is Band Fest on Broadway.
