Celebrate your business milestone with a Ribbon Cutting!
Whether you are a new Chamber member, have recently remodeled, opened a new location, or are marking a milestone anniversary, a Ribbon Cutting ceremony is an important way to celebrate your achievement with the business community.
Scheduling a Ribbon Cutting
Ribbon Cuttings are typically scheduled between 8AM-4PM on Thursdays, although we are flexible with this policy. Use the form below or contact Nate Ruge at the Chamber to schedule your event. The Chamber will invite the Ambassadors, add your event to the online calendar, and upon request will provide contact information to invite our media partners and local dignitaries.
What can I expect at my Ribbon Cutting?
The Chamber Ambassadors and staff member(s) will arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time to introduce themselves. Chamber staff will provide the ceremonial ribbon, bring the “big scissors,” and take photographs/video at the event. You are invited to give a short speech/announcement at the beginning, and then the Ambassadors will help arrange the group to “cut the ribbon.”
What do I need to do to prepare for my Ribbon Cutting?
While we are here to support you, this is your event!
- Invite your customers, clients, friends, and family members.
- Market your event ahead of time (you may use your event page in our online calendar to help with this).
- On the day of the event, you may want to provide beverages and/or snacks, but this is not required.
- Have business cards and/or informational materials available for people to take home.
