TechTalk Kicks Off Summer Programming
The summer of 2018 promises to be a season filled with events and opportunities for North Iowa entrepreneurs, technologists, and
business people.
Up first is TechTalk on June 13, 2018 at 11:30am-1:00pm. TechTalk is a free, speaker-led discussion open to anyone in North Iowa who
works with or has an interest in technology. June’s topic is Digital Marketing and how today’s quickly changing technology is an
opportunity for rural Iowa businesses. The panel discussion will focus on growth hacking, automated digital marketing tools and
services, and other advances. Speaking at TechTalk June are Austin Elling, Marketing Manager of MetalCraft, and Weston Lohry, Co-

Owner and General Manager of ColoffDigital. TechTalk June will be held at the North Iowa Regional Commerce Center (3 floor), and
attendees are welcome to bring along their lunch. Light beverages will be provided.

In August, the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) is sponsoring a TechBrew Cruise on Wednesday August 8 at 5pm. Cruise Clear
Lake on The Lady of the Lake and enjoy networking and craft beer with members of the TAI, local technology leaders, entrepreneurs,
and tech enthusiasts. [Registration is encouraged as space is limited.]
TechTalk August will take place the following morning on Thursday August 9 at 8:30am. TechTalk August will focus on CyberSecurity

and features a panel discussion with Adam Brown (Chief Technology Officer at DealerBuilt), Doug Jacobson (Iowa State University),
and Ryan Schaap (Chief Information Office at Wells Enterprises in Le Mars and
TAI board member).
Tech North Iowa is a community-run organization in partnership with the NIACC
Pappajohn Center, the North Iowa Corridor EDC, the Clear Lake Chamber of
Commerce, and the Technology Association of Iowa. Our mission is to bring out
the entrepreneur within all of us and foster collaboration to spread our passion
for technology and entrepreneurship to the local community. Tech North Iowa
organizes monthly TechBrew meetups and quarterly TechTalks, connecting
people with each other and technology.
All events will be published and updated on the Pappajohn Center website.
