Two Prominent North Iowa Women in Construction Featured in Chamber’s Upcoming Breaking Glass Session

Two North Iowa women will be featured in the upcoming Breaking Glass Women's Leadership Series on Thursday, December 7: Chelsy Snyder of Dean Snyder Construction and Cheryl Hubbard of Henkel Construction.

Chelsy Snyder Anderson is 3rd generation of Dean Snyder Construction, a family and employee owned general contractor and design-builder based out of Clear Lake, Iowa. Her role at DSC is Business Development however over the past several years she has found herself at the forefront of workforce development efforts becoming an advocate for the next generation of skilled trades. She is a Founding and Active Board Member of the Crew Collaborative a 501C3 nonprofit whose mission is to inspire the next generation of construction trades, a Board Member of the North Iowa Economic Development Corporation, Board Member of the NEIWDB and as of Spring of 2023 on the BOD for the North Iowa Cultural Center and Museum, the nonprofit that operates the Historic Surf Ballroom and Museum. She is wife to Erick a combat army veteran and 3rd year law student, Mom to William (9.5), Kathryn (8), Audrey (5) and Step Mom to Claire (10) and Evie (12). They also added 2 kittens to the mix in the last year.

Cheryl began her career with Henkel as an intern in college. Upon graduation she was hired as a business development/marketing person and was promoted to Project Manager. As a Project Manager, Cheryl has earned the trust and respect of countless Owners, with her knowledge, expertise, and her relentless drive to provide our clients with very positive outcomes, delivering project on-time and within budget. As Vice President of North Iowa Operations, she leads the North Iowa team by example in the way she approaches her job.

Cheryl has 26 years of construction experience and a B.S. in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University. Cheryl oversees a wide variety of projects and works closely with project superintendents to scheduled subcontracted work, material purchases, deliveries, and the coordination of details. Cheryl takes pride in making sure her team produces top quality projects.
