The 2022 Ag Tour is scheduled for 3PM on Thursday, August 18 at Bushel Boy Farms in Mason City. Chamber members will have the opportunity to tour the new facility and learn about its innovative farming practices.
Bushel Boy Farms is located in the heart of the Midwest, with a new 16-acre greenhouse in Mason City, and a 32-acre greenhouse in Owatonna, Minnesota. The Owatonna facility includes a Research and Development resource dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.
Advanced technology enables Bushel Boy to ensure ideal growing conditions year-round in their state-of-the-art facilities – even when the outside weather is at its worst. Each day, employees carefully pick the produce at the peak of ripeness and race them to local grocery stores and restaurants within hours. A sustainable farm, hundreds of thousands of gallons of water is saved annually by capturing and reusing excess water not absorbed by the plants.
The 2022 Ag Tour will follow CEO Conversations featuring Bushel Boy Farms President, Chuck Tryon from 11:30AM-1PM.
