Community impact has always been at the heart of Five Star Cooperative. In 2022, after their location was devastated by a tornado, the team rallied together, ensuring that customers were still taken care of during the busy spring season. They rebuilt, adding jobs to the community and strengthening ties with local organizations. Programs like their veteran and first responder LP discount showcase Five Star’s commitment to honoring those who serve the community. Their contributions also extend to local schools, 4-H/FFA participants, and broader community efforts through partnerships with Lions clubs and other organizations.
Five Star’s pillars of service—agriculture, education, food security, and support for first responders—are evident in their community involvement. From donations to the Cerro Gordo County fairgrounds and sponsoring 4-H shows to supporting local baseball complexes and participating in food drives, Five Star consistently steps up for the betterment of the communities they serve. In addition, the company supports paid time off for employees to give back through various activities, including Ag breakfasts and county fair programs.
