Frein Earns Certified Chamber Executive Designation

The Chamber is proud to announce that President & CEO Colleen Frein has earned the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation—the highest professional designation in the chamber profession. The announcement was made at the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) annual conference in 2025.
The CCE designation is awarded to chamber leaders who have demonstrated significant professional experience, leadership, and a deep understanding of chamber management. The rigorous process includes a written application, professional portfolio, proctored exam, and a comprehensive oral interview evaluated by a panel of peers.
Fewer than 10% of chamber executives nationwide have earned the CCE credential, making it a mark of excellence in the industry. This accomplishment is a reflection of Frein’s dedication to the profession and her commitment to the Mason City and North Iowa region.
During the conference, former President & CEO Robin Anderson was honored with the Life Member Award, which recognizes retiring chamber professionals who have demonstrated outstanding service to their communities, exceptional leadership within the chamber industry, and a long-term commitment to ACCE.
Vice President Allyson Krull also attended the conference as a participant in the inaugural ACCE Next Generation Leadership Program. She was selected for this elite group and will take part in the year long initiative to cultivate and empower her with new skills as she grows as a leader in the chamber profession.
