Entertainment for the 87th annual North Iowa Band Festival promises something for everyone, featuring an exciting mix of musicians from across Iowa and Minnesota who are ready to fill the streets with energy, rhythm, and hometown pride.
Thursday, May 21
In celebration of local talent, the John Adams Middle School Band will kick off the weekend on Thursday night at 6:00 PM, followed by a performance from the Mason City Municipal Band at 6:45 PM.
Friday, May 22
On Friday, the talented Mason City High School Orchestra will perform at 4:45 PM at the Principal Performing Arts Pavilion. The Mason City High School Jazz Band will take the stage at 5:50 PM on the Main Stage, followed by the return of BYOBrass at 7PM.
Saturday, May 23
Parade at 10AM, starting on North Pennsylvania Avenue, turning onto East State Street, and concluding at Mason City High School. The awards ceremony will take place at 1:45 p.m.
Kris Karr, who plays a mix of 70s rock, country, blues, funk, folk, and pop, will kick off the Main Stage entertainment at 3PM, followed by Woodzen, melding funk grooves, at 5PM. Closing out the evening, GenX Jukebox will take the stage at 8PM, playing all your favorite hits from the 90s.
