Leadership today asks something different of us. It’s no longer about having all the answers. It’s about creating the conditions where people can listen, talk, and work together in ways that move communities forward. That’s the heart of my work, and it’s exactly what I’m excited to bring to this year’s Leadership North Iowa cohort.
My background in facilitative leadership and the Technology of Participation Methods has given me years of practice helping groups navigate tough conversations, build trust, and make decisions with clarity and confidence. Whether I’m supporting a manufacturing team, a nonprofit board, or a community coalition, the goal is the same: help people lead from where they are.
This year’s session, “Leading Up,” will give participants a practical look at what it means to influence with integrity, even when you’re not the one at the top of the org chart. We’ll explore how to communicate with purpose, build alignment in all directions, and use collaboration as a real leadership advantage. Think of it as a toolkit for working smarter with supervisors, peers, and stakeholders while staying grounded in your own leadership identity. The session is hands-on, energizing, and designed to build confidence quickly.
Beyond Leadership North Iowa, KT Facilitation offers a range of training and support for organizations wanting stronger collaboration, better meetings, and more effective leadership practices. This includes facilitation training, strategic planning, Lumina Spark personality development, and customized retreats for teams looking to strengthen communication and culture.
North Iowa is filled with leaders who care deeply about their communities and workplaces. I’m honored to support that momentum and help the next group of leaders build the skills that create connection, clarity, and meaningful progress.
If your organization is ready to elevate how it works together, I’d love to explore how KT Facilitation can support your goals.
