Chamber Announces 87th North Iowa Band Festival Theme
MASON CITY, IA – The North Iowa Band Festival Committee is thrilled to unveil the logo for this year’s theme for the 87th annual North Iowa Band Festival: “Bands, Birthdays, and Brass”.
This year, the 87th North Iowa Band Festival highlights a theme that truly captures our spirit: “Bands, Birthdays, and Brass.” It’s a tribute to the moments and memories that deserve recognition. We’re celebrating marching bands from the past and present that have left a lasting imprint, and individuals whose ideas spark progress. We remember the many people whose dedication year after year continues to shape our communities and culture.
Among these milestones, one of the most significant is our nation’s birthday—a meaningful reminder of the perseverance, creativity, and shared history that define America. This theme encourages us not only to appreciate where we’ve been, but also to look ahead with confidence and gratitude.
Expect the unexpected as the committee kicks off four full days of live entertainment celebrating bands, birthdays, and brass, featuring outstanding Iowa musicians. Along with the music, enjoy a bustling carnival, delicious food trucks, and a vibrant marketplace filled with Iowa-made goods—and more! All of it comes together under the big sky of Iowa, where bold brass, hometown pride, and timeless traditions unite in a symphony of celebration.
Come for the music. Stay for the memories. The 87th North Iowa Band Festival is sure to be unforgettable!
