North Iowa Band Festival Call for Marching Bands
MASON CITY, IA – The North Iowa Band Festival committee is looking for marching bands to join the
celebration and excitement of the 87th Annual North Iowa Band Festival parade on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10AM. The committee welcomes all middle school, high school, and college marching bands and drum and bugle corps, both within Iowa and nationwide! What marching bands and drum and bugle corps can expect when registering:
- No cost to enter, making it easy for your band or drum and bugle corps to join the fun.
- Bands will receive travel support to assist with the cost of travel, ensuring that no group is left behind.
- A stipend and trophy for the top band in each school division.
- A stipend and trophy for the highest-scoring band across all classes.
- Spirit of Meredith Willson Award: A special stipend and award will be presented to one deserving band
that embodies the spirit of music, unity, and performance excellence. - The competition will feature expert feedback, judging remarks, and scores from the Tri-State Judging
Association. - Bands will be featured on live television and radio broadcasts, offering an incredible opportunity to
showcase your talent to a wide audience. - March in front of over 20,000+ spectators who will be cheering on your performance.
